I have a lot of catching up to do with my blog, so I'm going to start where I left off in the "digital scrapbooking" that makes up about half of my blog - I've had many other ideas and Christian thoughts to post, but haven't felt up to it (that will be a separate post to come in the next few days).
To begin the catching up, we'll go back three weeks to mid-May.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, we were able to drive to Oakland to see my in-laws and celebrate Becca's graduation from Patten University. Becca graduated with a high GPA, and she had the best senior thesis in her major (Psychology). We are all proud of Becca and wish her the best in her future endeavors. As you know, my camera was broken, but my fabulous mom-in-law and sister-in-law Megan (pictured below with Becca) graciously shared some of their pics with me.
Isn't the lei she's wearing lovely? Her fiancé, Jeff, bought that for her! They make such a cute couple and we are looking forward to traveling to Southern California for their wedding in late July.To begin the catching up, we'll go back three weeks to mid-May.

Congratulations to Becca! Yay!
Hi Rhonda,
I love graduations. They are so much fun.
Thanks for visiting today. I loved your suggestion of the savings gift. I want to share that with my hubby. Considering I am a frugal mama, we'd be sharing a lot ha ha.
To answer your question about the kids. I have four but since the youngest is 2, he does not clean but he makes plenty of mess to clean up. The oldest is 17 and she has the kitchen. Brandon is almost 12 & he has the family room. Amber is 9 and she has the other smaller living room. The kids have always had things to clean but on a smaller scale than what I have recently done. For instance when Amber was 5 she was responsible for keeping the area where we eat clean. As she got older I changed her areas to be more age appropriate. But I want to say since she was 7 she was always to pick up the small living area and when I had her do it she did a good job. I do the sweeping & moping though.
Boy, I've tried not using the chore list this week and the house has gone to the dogs, ha ha. I just wanted to see if it was the list that was effective or my determination. Well, it's obviously not my determination that's for sure. I'm bringing my list back out in the morning. Oy, what a mess. I love my chore list and it's nothing hard but seeing it written out and on the fridge, I just can't stand not to cross it off. So um, it actually gets done. I know, I'm a dork.
Have a great day,
Jennifer
